In April of 2022, Super Thrifty bought Falk Pharmacy in Carberry.
Alana Bailey, who started with Super Thrifty in 2018, became pharmacist/manager in 2022.
Our Community
Voted one of the friendliest towns in Canada, Carberry is located 30 minutes east of Brandon on the Trans Canada Highway. The town acts as a regional hub with a robust business community, K-12 schools and health centre. Nearby Spruce Woods Provincial Park offers plenty of outdoor recreation with unique landscapes not found anywhere else in Manitoba. Super Thrifty has been in Carberry since 2022.
Meet the team
Alana Bailey
Pharmacist/Manager
Alana grew up on a farm outside of Carberry. After graduating from James Cook University in Australia in December 2015, Alana returned home to Canada. She did her internship at Home Health Care Pharmacy. While completing all of the exams necessary to practice pharmacy in Manitoba, she worked there as a pharmacy technician. Alana became a licensed pharmacist in January 2018. After working three years as a relief pharmacist throughout the Super Thrifty chain, in October 2020 Alana accepted a full-time pharmacy position at Home Health Care Pharmacy. In April 2022, Alana had the opportunity to become pharmacist/ manager in her hometown when Super Thrifty opened a new store after acquiring a local pharmacy.
Alana is authorized to administer injections. She is able to prescribe for minor ailments.
