Our Store
Super Thrifty has been in The Pas since 1984. The store is located in the Otineka Mall, the largest mall in the North, located in Opaswayak Cree Nation.
Warren Hicks served as pharmacist/manager/owner from 1992 until retiring in 2022. Jaimin Patel, who joined the pharmacy team in 2011, is the current pharmacist/owner/manager. Melissa Dearsley joined the pharmacy team in 2022 as well.
Our Community
The Pas, with a population of approximately 5,500, is a town in northern Manitoba. The economy for The Pas and surrounding area is based on agriculture, forestry, commercial fishing, transportation and tourism as well as education and health services. The Pas borders part of Opaskwayak Cree Nation. A University College of the North campus is located here. Every February the Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival takes place showcasing various winter activities such as ice fishing, bannock making, chain saw competitions and dog sled race. This dog sled race is part of the International Federation of Sleddog Sports. The Northern Manitoba Trappers’ Festival is Manitoba’s oldest winter festival and one of the oldest in Canada.

Jaimin Patel
Manager/Pharmacist
Jaimin holds a Master of Science Degree in Pharmacy. He’s authorized to prescribe for minor ailments and smoking cessation. He is certified to administer injections. Jaimin is authorized to prescribe medications for treatment of uncomplicated bladder infections, also known as urinary tract infections. Jaimin is certified by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba in Opioid Replacement Treatment. He is a Certified Diabetes Educator. Jaimin enjoys getting to know his clients and being a trusted partner in their health care.
